Fast Track Services for Heavy Machine Electrification
We work with your team to develop electric and hybrid powertrains for mobile work machines. Bring us in for a specific engineering task or a wider system integration project, from early assessment to commissioning and support.
Our experience, proven control functions and component interfaces help your team move forward from the stage you are at.
Choose the support your machine needs.

Fuel consumption shows how much energy a machine uses in a day. Only a work-cycle measurement shows the peak loads the powertrain has to handle, so sizing starts from measured data.
Solution Assessment
A useful starting point is a walk through the machine’s working day. When is power needed? For how long? Where could charging fit between tasks?
Together, we turn that operating picture into requirements for energy, power and charging. Measurements from an existing machine can provide the basis. Where data is limited, we identify the assumptions that matter and what needs to be measured next.
The assessment brings architecture options, preliminary sizing and component cost estimates into the same discussion. Your team can then weigh the technical choices against the product you want to build.
System Design & Engineering
A battery location is also a decision about cable routes, cooling connections, weight distribution and access for service. These details take shape together as the machine design develops.
Working with your mechanical, hydraulic and electrical teams, we turn the powertrain architecture into component selections, schematics, harness designs and cooling arrangements. The scope can be a defined part of the design or a wider engineering package.
Practical installation details deserve attention early. The route that looks clear in CAD still needs room for connectors, hoses, tools and the person who will eventually replace a component.
Harness routing is done in the machine’s real 3D geometry. HV cables run apart from logic cables, and every connector must be reachable without removing other components first.
Around 80% of the control software comes from field-proven Hevtec functions, so project work can focus on how this particular machine should behave.
Software
When several machine functions need power at once, the controls have to coordinate the demand. They also need to make the machine’s behaviour understandable to the operator and give the service team useful information.
We work with your team to define that behaviour and connect powertrain control to the machine’s existing controls. Proven component interfaces and control functions provide a starting point for application-specific development.
The work can focus on power management, charging, thermal control or diagnostics. Agreeing how the machine should respond in real operating situations gives development and testing a shared reference.
Commissioning, Testing & Validation
The first start-up is one milestone. The next is understanding how the machine behaves through its working cycle.
We work through commissioning with your team: electrical safety checks, component settings, communication and I/O tests, followed by operational testing and tuning. Measurements help compare the machine’s behaviour with the requirements agreed during design.
When something needs adjustment, we look at the interaction between hardware, software and the machine’s functions. The aim is to leave your team with measured results, documented settings and a clear view of what is ready and what needs further work.
Every Hevtec designer has commissioned machines in the field. That hands-on experience goes into every design.
On-site operator training takes one to two days, depending on the need: where components and controls are, and what the display tells the operator. Software updates can also be done at the machine.
Lifetime Maintenance & Technical Support
Once a machine enters daily use, operators and service teams see it in situations that development testing may only partly capture. Their observations are valuable input for further work.
Support can mean investigating an operating issue, reviewing diagnostic data, updating software or helping personnel get familiar with the electric powertrain. We work with your team on the support needed for the machine and its users.
Training is practical: where components and controls are located, what the display is telling the operator, and how the system is operated and maintained. That shared understanding helps the people responsible for the machine in everyday use.
“Working with Hevtec is agile, when we need extra hands or electrical and system expertise, we know who to call. And when they say they’ll deliver, they do.”

What will we get as concrete deliverables across your services?
Depending on the phase, typical outputs include:
-
Solution Assessment: key assumptions, topology proposal, simulation/data-based sizing, risk list, BOM cost estimation and next actions
System Design & Engineering: integration-ready architecture, final component selection, HV and LV distribution & protection selections, HV and LV schematics, charging strategy and documentation package
Software: validated control functions, component communication and I/O mapping, diagnostics/logging and commissioning checklists (IoT/OTA when applicable)
Commissioning, Testing & Validation: safety verification, structured test plan, measured results, tuning notes, acceptance criteria
Maintenance & Technical Support: troubleshooting support, software updates, personnel training and operation and service documentation
Can you join an existing OEM project team mid-project?
Yes. Fast Track is designed to add senior capacity without taking ownership away from your team. We strengthen decisions and execution.
Do you work with hybrid, ePTO or electrified auxiliaries too?
Yes, we support practical electrification paths where you need targeted integration expertise.
What do you need from us to begin?
A few basics are enough: machine type and targets, duty cycle estimate, packaging constraints, and charging scenario assumptions. If something is missing, we’ll tell you what matters most first.
Fast Track Services or e-Kit: which fits your project?
Fast Track Services are ideal when you need specialized expertise. If you’re looking for a modular electrification package and a faster route to a repeatable architecture, explore Hevtec e-Kit, the kit that fits.
Choose this if you have a specific powertrain challenge or your own engineering team, and you want expert support at the stages that matter: assessment, design, commissioning or lifetime support.
One team, one shared goal, with you in the lead.
Choose this if you want a complete, pre-configured powertrain system sized to your machine.
50% is ready before the project starts, 80% of the software is ready to integrate, and it scales as your machine series grows.
Both start from the same principle: the machine defines the system.
